Class details
Monday classes at Medbury School10:30am – Ages 2 to 3½ years
11:30am – Babies (with caregiver)
12:30pm – Ages 3½ to 5 years✅ 45 minute classes
✅ Maximum 12 children per class
✅ Small groups, lots of attention
what to expect
WHAT TO EXPECTWhat happens in a Hop & Hum class?
Every session includes a mix of:- singing and musical games
- movement + rhythm play
- listening and instrument exploration
- creative play, imagination and story
- learning teamwork, confidence, and focusNo pressure, no performance. Just kids learning music the way they’re meant to: through play.

Hi, I’m Emma 👋
I’m a proud mum of two and principal horn with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra.Alongside performing, I’ve spent years teaching and running music sessions across the community, including in schools, libraries, and specialist learning environments.I created Hop & Hum because I genuinely believe music education builds confident humans. It helps kids learn to listen, collaborate, express themselves, and feel brave in their bodies.
